Ready for War :

The film explores how military service often leads to PTSD, drug abuse and violence for combat veterans. While native born soldiers are able to serve time in prison and be reintegrated back into our society, immigrant soldiers serve prison time and are subsequently deported to their country of birth. The vast majority are sent to Mexico where some fight to return home and once again live the American dream, while others succumb to recruitment by Mexican drug cartels. The series will track 5 characters, united by the same narrative thread of military service and subsequent deportation, but each in a drastically different stage of their arc and living vastly different realities.
